A Reliable, Professional Team With The Experience You Need

With all three owners being from Wisconsin and Minnesota, True North is more than just our name, it was the way we raised with small town loyalties and hard work ethic. Each one of our team members has a history and set of skills that makes him indispensable.

Wes Ehlers

Wes’ construction background stems back to college where he studied Construction Management. In the past 17 years Wes has earned a wide variety of experience in the construction industry, everything from framing houses to structural steel and for the past 8 years, fireplaces. In 2007, Wes moved to Glenwood Springs to work for a local fireplace business. He started out installing and doing service work, which gained him a lot of knowledge about fireplaces. Then in 2009 he was promoted to management and sales. In January of 2015 Wes decided to partner up with younger brother Matt Ehlers and long-time friend Zach Ryan to start True North Hearth and Home.

Matt Ehlers

Matt is Wes’ brother from Northern Wisconsin. He got involved in construction at an early age. Matt met Zach in college and also worked for the same fireplace and hot tub store in Duluth, MN, installing and servicing fireplaces. In 2007, he came to Glenwood Springs to work for a growing fireplace and hot tub company. Over the past 8 years, he has gained the knowledge and experience to manage your project from start to finish.

Zach Ryan

Zach got his start in the hearth business at age 15 at his father’s fireplace retail store, in Hutchinson, MN. He worked there as an installer, service technician, and salesman until he became manager. In 2003 he went to work for a company in Duluth, MN as service manager where he gained knowledge in wood stoves and hot tubs. In 2007, Zach came to Glenwood Springs for a new opportunity where he learned all he could about the fireplaces and hot tubs in the luxury home market.
